Steam Clean the house
Stanley Steemer Steam Cleaning
Monday, August 12, 2013
7:30 to 8:30 AM
Early this morning two people from Stanley Steemer came to our house for the prearranged steam cleaning of our carpets. We have worked over the weekend the get all carpeted rooms ready for steam cleaning. We had removed all knickknacks and loose items on the floor. We had removed all possible small items like chairs, file cabinets, rugs, and small cabinets. However, we left standing big chests, wardrobes, beds, and desks.
The personnel came and moved the big furniture away from the walls and put them on some kind of plastic blocks. They then started to run the fans in the rooms. Once everything is set-up, they brought their steam cleaning vacuum hoses and started to clean the rooms. They first cleaned the two small rooms and did the big room the last. Once the back side of the cabinets were cleaned they moved the cabinets back to their original position and cleaned the other areas. Once a room has been cleaned they put the fan to start the drying process. They were done in about an hour.
They recommended that we don’t walk from the carpeted floor to hardwood floor often due to the possibility of wet feet and slippery feet. They asked us to run the air-conditioner at 70 F and continue to run the fans at full speed. The recommended drying time is 48 hours. However, chairs with plastics feet could be moved into the rooms in 24 hours but wooden furniture should wait for 48 hours. If there is a need we could some plastic blocks similar to those they used to move wooden furniture about 24 hours.

ACT Thank You Party
Sunday, November 11, 2012
CGE Globe, 3-7 PM
This afternoon we had the “Thank You” party for all ACT volunteers, performers, members, and vendors and all their families. This was one simple way of saying thanks to countless hours all of them have spent in making Experience Asia a success.
We had food from Indian, Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino restaurants make some food for the guests. Once again volunteers set-up the table for buffett style lunch/dinner. We had probably about 60-70 people at the party. We had anticipated a larger crowd but due to the long three-day weekend the attendance was low. But we were happy many student volunteers, members, and several vendors were present.

Lincoln Leon Football Game
Gene Cox Stadium
441 Paul Russell Road, Tallahassee, FL 32301
In the evening after Bhanu came from work, we all three headed to Gene Cox Stadium at the North Florida Fairgrounds to attend the Lincoln and Leon high schools season football game. Our friends at the Tally TKD had informed us about the football game lastnight after VTS’s black belt award ceremony and we arrived at the stadium little past 7 PM. We paid the ticket amount of $6/person. We met our friends and took our seats on the Lincoln side of the stadium around 35 yard line.
Due to some power problems the stadium lights didn’t come on until around 7:30 PM (after the Lincoln Band started to play) and the game went well. The quarters were 12 minutes long and by the end of the second quarter the Lincoln Trojans had scored impressive five touchdowns and extra points to a score of 35 to the Leon score of 3.
We then watched the Leon high school band play. They have been invited to play in London 2013. With full lights on the Leon band perfromed many nice routines. The Leon football game came from the half and scored a touchdown and made Lincoln fumble the ball once.
Since Bhanu had work early and VTS and I had to attend Saturday morning physics we all left with score of 35-10 in the middle of thrid quarter. In all it was a fun.
