The ESI people went on a trip to Washington DC and came back on Saturday. They said they have had a good trip learning about environmental issues in Maryland and DC.

Lightning strikes a tree

There was a severe thunderstorm that accompanied strong and continuous lightning. Some of the lightning strikes felt as though they were very nearby. I came out running to see whether someone was hurt during one of the strong lightnings.Saturday, June 25, 2010 morning:In the morning when we found our friends phone, cable and electrical outlets were not working we ran into a neighbor whose palm tree took the direct strike from one of the lightnings. Portions of the tree was burnt. The force through debris all over the top of the roof. Fortunately, no one was home. That neighbor also lost phone, cable, and other services.

Swim at Pool

Swim at PoolWalker Ford CenterWe went to Walker Ford Pool at Pasco Street and swam for an hour. It is a nice pool with wide open lanes for swimming. The temperature and Sunlight was perfect for swimming.
