Leon County Public Library Eastside Branch Library

Saturday, July 26, 2014, 12:45 – 2;45 PM

FBAR-01 FBAR-03

As part of the Summer Reading program of the Leon County Public Library, we were volunteers helping the library staff conduct some science experiments that were fun while encouraging the kids to read.

We were both at the booth where we did a fake volcano using baking soda, vinegar, and detergent. Bhanu helped make the volcano and bought all the needed materials.

We were set-up the Meeting Room North side wall. VtS and I helped with the demonstrations. I had to run after about 1 hour of help. VtS did stay the whole time.

It was great helping the library staff and its partrons.

GBR-01WP

One of the rooms with wallpaper still in place. It has been more than a decade since the wallpaper was hung. It has started to peel-off.

After more than adjusting with the wallpaper in our kitchen and bathrooms we decided to remove them and replace with the painted walls.

GBR-02NWP

Wallpaper has been removed exposing the sheet rock. Allowed to dry for a day.

The work began this morning and will continue tomorrow and probably the day after. We have hired a trusted company to do the work. We have worked with this company before.

I will post the updates of before and after wallpaper in few days.

The dried sheet rock has been painted with Behr Premium Plus Interior Satin Enamel paint. Morning Breeze color

New Parking Decal

FSU

Tuesday, June 03, 2014

I went to FSU Card Center and exchanged my old Faculty/Staff Parking Decal for a new one. Today was the second day they were doing the exchange but today’s location was closest to my work.

The process was quick and I spent probably few minutes. I took the old one off of my car and gave it to them. They gave a new one which I quickly put it on my car’s driver side lower left front glass.
